Crime Prevention Event - High Wycombe

With the nights drawing in as winter approaches, villains inevitably take advantage of dark corners for their shady business.

Come along to our Crime Prevention Event on the 20th October when local groups will again join forces to heighten awareness of the people and organisations who can help Wycombe residents combat crime on their doorstep.

Neighbourhood Watch, CrimeStoppers, Thames Valley Police, Bucks Fire & Rescue Service, the council's Community Safety Team and one of the local drug agencies will be on hand for you to talk to and ask questions - please do join us and tell your neighbours and friends about it too. The message of the event is that you are less likely to be a victim of crime if you are aware of the issues in your area, and you are also less likely to be afraid of being a victim of crime if you are able to take steps to prevent it. Even an extra secure padlock or simple alarm can prevent and inconvenient and distressing burglary - Neighbourhood watch has a new alarmed padlock, with shock and movement sensor, a powerful 110 decibel siren, keypad, a battery powered and weather- resistant hardened Zinc Alloy body, hardended steel shackle, anti muffle design, which costs £14, and which will be avaliable at the event if you need some extra protection.

The Crime Prevention Event will take place on Saturday 20th October 9am-2pm in the Chilterns Shopping Centre (just outside Wilkinson's) in High Wycombe, and we look forward to seeing you there! Message sent by Howard Wynne (Police, Uniform PC, Wycombe LPA)
